Where to watch the Monaco Grand Prix?

Corner by corner: the best viewpoints and the grandstands that face them.

In short

The most spectacular viewpoints at the Monaco Grand Prix are the Tabac corner and the Swimming Pool (the fast seafront sequence), the Casino for the legendary climb, and Sainte-Dévote for overtaking at the start. The Fairmont hairpin shows the cars at their slowest, ideal for photos. Each area has numbered grandstands; the choice depends on the atmosphere you want.

Sainte-Dévote & the start line

The first corner after the pit straight, Sainte-Dévote is one of the circuit's rare overtaking spots: this is where the opening laps and late braking play out. Start-line grandstands also offer the launch at lights-out and the buzz of the grid.

Ideal for those who want the tension of the start and Monaco's rare wheel-to-wheel duels.

The Casino climb & Mirabeau

After the avenue, the cars climb towards Casino Square — the circuit's most iconic image — then plunge down to Mirabeau. The light, the Belle Époque façades and the gradient make a unique backdrop.

The Casino grandstands are among the most sought-after: legendary atmosphere and postcard photos guaranteed.

Tabac & the Swimming Pool — the most spectacular

Along the seafront, the Tabac then Swimming Pool sequence is the fastest, most impressive stretch of the circuit: the cars skim the barriers at full speed. This is also where the yachts are moored.

For many connoisseurs, these are the best seats to feel the pure speed of Formula 1 at Monaco.

The Fairmont hairpin & Rascasse

The Fairmont hairpin (formerly Loews) is the slowest corner of the entire Formula 1 season: the cars crawl through, making it the best place to photograph them and watch the drivers at work. The Rascasse, late in the lap, is another appreciated technical point.

Beyond the grandstand, the same corners can be experienced from a private terrace overlooking the circuit or from a yacht moored facing the Tabac. The viewpoint matters as much as the option: we guide you to the combination that serves your wish.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

It depends on the experience you want: Tabac and the Swimming Pool for seafront speed, the Casino for atmosphere and photos, Sainte-Dévote for overtaking. There is no universal 'best' grandstand — only the one that matches what you want to experience.

Sainte-Dévote, the first corner after the pit straight, is the circuit's main overtaking spot. The Fairmont hairpin also sees braking attempts.

The Fairmont hairpin, where the cars are at their slowest, and Casino Square for the Belle Époque backdrop, offer the finest images.

Most grandstands are open-air. For sheltered comfort, opt for a private terrace, a circuit-view suite or the Paddock Club.
