Where to party during the Monaco Grand Prix?
From a yacht deck to the Jimmy'z dancefloor: Monégasque nightlife on race weekend.
Monaco Grand Prix nights unfold in three acts: the yacht parties of Port Hercule from the chequered flag, the club-dinners of avenue Princesse Grace, then the clubs — Jimmy'z Monte-Carlo, the historic Amber Lounge afterparty, or La Rascasse at the foot of the corner that bears its name. Access takes planning: tables and guest lists go weeks before the weekend.

The yacht parties of Port Hercule
When the engines fall silent, the harbour takes over. From the end of the sessions, the decks of the yachts moored facing the circuit switch into reception mode — DJs, champagne, the sun sinking over the Rock. It is the weekend's most emblematic social scene, and its most exclusive: entry is by invitation, or by chartering your own boat.
It is also the most flexible: a chartered yacht serves as a race lounge in the afternoon and a party venue at night, for a chosen circle. Our weekend charters are designed for both lives — daytime hospitality, evening reception.
Amber Lounge: the Grand Prix's historic afterparty
Founded in 2003 by Sonia Irvine, Amber Lounge is the institution of Grand Prix nights — the afterparty where the paddock comes to close out its weekend, renowned for its Saturday and Sunday nights and its charity fashion show. Access is by ticket and reserved table, and the best tables are decided far in advance.
If you were to keep only one “official” night of the weekend, this is it: nowhere else is the line between the racing world and the Monégasque night so thin.
Jimmy'z, the institution of the Monégasque night
An institution of the Société des Bains de Mer since the 1970s, Jimmy'z Monte-Carlo is the principality's reference club — and on Grand Prix weekend, its densest night of the year. Tables and VIP areas are reserved ahead, and the door is as selective as the club's reputation suggests.
The right tempo: dinner on avenue Princesse Grace, then the club — both on foot. It is the classic sequence for qualifying Saturday night.
La Rascasse: the party at the edge of the track
At the foot of the corner that bears its name, La Rascasse is the weekend's most singular address: a bar-restaurant set on the circuit itself, living from morning to night to the rhythm of the racing — and carrying on into the evening with live music and DJs. The atmosphere is looser, more rock and roll, less ceremonious than the clubs.
It is the perfect place to touch the raw energy of the Grand Prix: you raise a glass metres from the apex where, hours earlier, the cars were braking.
Evenings in a jacket: Casino de Monte-Carlo and late dinners
Not every Grand Prix night is danced. The Casino de Monte-Carlo offers the most timeless version of the Monégasque evening — proper attire required, a jacket recommended in the gaming rooms, photo ID at the entrance. Around it, the great tables serve late and the palace-hotel bars hold court deep into the night.
It is the register we recommend for Friday: an elegant build-up, before the intensity of Saturday and Sunday.
| Night | Atmosphere | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Yacht party, Port Hercule | Private reception facing the circuit | Invitation or private charter |
| Amber Lounge | The paddock's official afterparty | Tickets & tables, far in advance |
| Jimmy'z Monte-Carlo | The principality's great club | Tables & a selective door |
| La Rascasse | Live music & DJs at the trackside | Looser, but very busy |
| Casino de Monte-Carlo | The timeless evening | Proper attire, photo ID |
How to get into the weekend's parties
Monégasque nightlife on Grand Prix weekend runs on tables and lists: capacities are limited, demand is global, and improvisation is rarely rewarded. Club tables, afterparty tickets and invitations are secured weeks before the event — at the latest, at the same time as your race package.
We compose the full thread of your nights: reserved tables, party access, a chartered yacht to host your own — and the transfers that mean, in Monaco, the party flows without ever looking for its way.
Frequently asked questions
The reference triptych: a yacht party in Port Hercule, the Amber Lounge afterparty — the paddock institution since 2003 — and a night at Jimmy'z Monte-Carlo. La Rascasse offers the loosest alternative, right at the edge of the track.
By ticket and reserved table — the best tables go weeks before the weekend. We secure tickets and tables for our clients as part of their evening programme.
Yes: it is one of our most frequent requests. A yacht moored in Port Hercule can be chartered for one evening or the whole weekend — DJ, chef, service — and becomes your own reception stage facing the circuit.
Qualifying Saturday and race Sunday are the weekend's two great nights — Saturday for the energy, Sunday for the finale, when the paddock lets go. Friday suits the more hushed register of the casino and the great tables.
Dressed-up attire in the clubs, a jacket recommended at the Casino de Monte-Carlo — and on the yachts, pale soles or bare feet on the teak. Our Grand Prix dress-code guide details the right register for every moment of the weekend.
It depends on the package: some hospitality options include party access, and we systematically build the night-time chapter — tables, clubs, afterparties — into the weekends we orchestrate. Every programme is bespoke, quoted to order.
