Arthur Ashe Stadium: the world's largest tennis stadium

Located at the heart of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York, Arthur Ashe Stadium opened in 1997. With around 23,771 seats, it is the world's largest tennis stadium.

Its retractable roof, completed in 2016, allows play to continue whatever the weather. The stadium hosts both singles finals — the women's final on Saturday, September 12 and the men's final on Sunday, September 13 for the 2026 edition — as well as the most anticipated matchups of the draw, day and night.

TGZ Conciergerie is an independent firm. We are neither affiliated with nor endorsed by the USTA, the US Open or On Location. The access we offer is privately sourced, outside public ticketing and subject to availability.

The seating tiers: courtside, loge, suites, promenade

Arthur Ashe Stadium's seats are organised in tiers, from the closest to the court to the highest. Courtside, at the very bottom, is the most prestigious; the promenade, in the upper bowl, is the most affordable.

The table below presents each tier, its location in the stadium and the kind of spectator it suits. For 2026, the number of courtside rows was expanded, with new rows added closest to the play.

Arthur Ashe's luxury suites

The luxury suites are the most exclusive experience in the stadium. They are private spaces of around 22 to 35 seats, with catering and concierge service included, offering privacy and comfort throughout the session.

They suit groups, corporate invitations or families who wish to experience the big matchups in a private setting. Their price is set on request, at five- to six-figure levels per session, depending on the matchup and availability.

Indicatively, these spaces sit outside public ticketing and are offered subject to availability, with dynamic pricing.

Day and night sessions under the roof

Arthur Ashe Stadium sells its day sessions (from around 11am) and night sessions (from around 7pm) separately. A single ticket therefore covers only one session; the choice depends on the matches and the atmosphere you are after.

The day session usually features several matches in natural light. The night session concentrates the prime-time matchups and the most electric atmosphere of the tournament, under the retractable roof and the stadium lights — it is the most in-demand.

Whichever session you choose, the retractable roof shields the play from the weather, and the signature Honey Deuce cocktail (around $23) is part of the New York ritual.

Louis Armstrong & Grandstand: the other courts

Beyond Arthur Ashe, the site has two other major courts. Louis Armstrong Stadium (around 14,000 seats, rebuilt in 2018, fitted with a retractable roof) is the second court: more intimate, it offers excellent sightlines. Its separate reserved ticket often represents better value than Ashe for big matches early in the event.

The Grandstand (around 8,000 seats, opened in 2016, no roof) is the third court: intimate and included with grounds access. A day pass gives access to the outer courts, including Armstrong's general-admission areas and the Grandstand.

To sum up the site's hierarchy: Arthur Ashe for the finals and the headline acts, Louis Armstrong for intimacy and value, the Grandstand and outer courts to experience the tournament up close during the day.
