How to get to the Monaco Grand Prix?

From Nice airport or the Riviera: helicopter, chauffeur, train — and how to get around on site.

In short

The fastest and most comfortable way to reach Monaco is the helicopter from Nice airport (about 7 minutes), complemented by a private chauffeur. The train from Nice (about 25 minutes) and the car remain possible, but the principality is saturated on race weekend. On site, everything is done on foot or by tender from a yacht.

From Nice airport

Nice Côte d'Azur airport is the gateway to the principality, around thirty kilometres away. From there, three options: the helicopter (the fastest), the private chauffeur, or the train via Nice-Ville.

On Grand Prix weekend, planning the transfer ahead is essential: the coast road and the entrance to Monaco are congested.

By helicopter — the fastest

The Nice–Monaco flight lasts about 7 minutes and crosses the bay: it is the VIP clientele's preferred transfer. Monaco's heliport, in Fontvieille, is linked to the rest of the principality by shuttle or chauffeur.

We coordinate the helicopter, the welcome on arrival and the car on to your hotel, grandstand or yacht.

By train

The regional train links Nice-Ville to Monaco-Monte-Carlo station in about twenty minutes. Economical and traffic-free, it is a practical option, but the station is very busy during race weekend.

By car with a chauffeur

A car with a chauffeur offers door-to-door comfort but is subject to traffic: expect far more than the usual 30 minutes on race weekend, and road closures around the circuit. Ideal outside peak hours and for journeys along the Riviera.

Getting around during the weekend

Within Monaco, most of it is on foot — the principality is compact, with public lifts and passageways. If you are on a yacht, the tender drops you closest. For trips to the Riviera, the chauffeur remains the most flexible solution.

A local concierge coordinates helicopter, chauffeur, access and timing so every journey flows without friction.
