When is Wimbledon 2026?
The Championships, Wimbledon 2026 run from Monday 29 June to Sunday 12 July 2026, at the All England Lawn Tennis Club on Church Road in south-west London (SW19). As every year, the tournament unfolds across a fortnight — fourteen consecutive days of play, with no traditional rest day in the middle.
Wimbledon remains the oldest and most prestigious of the Grand Slams, and the only one played on grass. The lively surface sets its own rhythm: cutting serves, short rallies, careful footing — and the famous all-white dress code for players.
Ahead of the main draw, qualifying is played beforehand, away from Church Road. It is not part of the VIP route and does not take place on the tournament's own courts: the fortnight that spectators experience truly begins on Monday 29 June on the lawns of Wimbledon.
The fortnight, day by day
Here is the shape of the 2026 fortnight, from the buzz of the early rounds to finals weekend. The dates of the closing stages are fixed; those of the early rounds span a range of days within each week.
| Phase / Day | What happens | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 (Mon 29 June – Wed 1 July) | First to third rounds of the singles, across all courts | Seeing as many stars as possible on many courts in one day |
| Middle days (Thu 2 – Sun 5 July) | End of the third round into the fourth round, the draws tighten | Already strong match-ups and a rising atmosphere |
| Quarter-finals (Mon 6 – Wed 8 July) | Ladies' and Gentlemen's quarters on the roofed courts | Stepping into the second week, top-tier tennis |
| Ladies' semi-finals (Thu 9 July) | Ladies' singles semi-finals on Centre Court | The thrill of a final in sight, on the Ladies' side |
| Gentlemen's semi-finals (Fri 10 July) | Gentlemen's singles semi-finals on Centre Court | A day of very high dramatic tension |
| Ladies' Final (Sat 11 July) | Ladies' singles final on Centre Court | The spectacle of a champion crowned, a solemn mood |
| Gentlemen's Final (Sun 12 July) | Gentlemen's singles final, closing the fortnight | The most prestigious moment of the tournament |
Which day should you attend?
It all depends on what you are after. The early rounds of the first week offer the greatest abundance: dozens of simultaneous matches across many courts, the chance to catch a large number of seeds in a single day, and a festival atmosphere as you wander between the outside courts.
The second week concentrates the drama: the draws have thinned, every match matters, and the action now plays out on the two main show courts. The quarter-finals and semi-finals deliver tennis of rare intensity, with a near-certainty of watching the biggest names.
Finals weekend, finally, is pure spectacle: the Ladies' Final on Saturday 11 July, the Gentlemen's Final on Sunday 12 July, in a full and solemn Centre Court. These are the most coveted days of the whole fortnight — and the most sought-after on the Debenture ticket market.
Order of play and show-court scheduling
The order of play — how matches are allocated to courts — is published each evening for the following day by the organiser. The most anticipated match-ups are placed on Centre Court (~14,979 seats) and No.1 Court (~12,345 seats); the rest are spread across No.2 Court, No.3 Court and the outside courts.
A ticket for a show court guarantees you a seat on that specific court, whatever match-up is scheduled there: this is the whole logic of Debenture tickets, which open the best seats on Centre Court or No.1 Court, along with access to the lounges, restaurants and bars reserved for Debenture holders. No specific match or player, however, can be guaranteed in advance.
Both main courts have a retractable roof (Centre Court since 2009, No.1 Court since 2019). In case of rain or nightfall, the roof closes and play continues under lights: valuable reassurance for Debenture ticket-holders on these courts, where late finishes are played under cover.
How TGZ matches your dates to the best Debenture tickets
TGZ Conciergerie is an independent luxury concierge: we are neither a box office nor a marketplace, and have no affiliation with the AELTC or Wimbledon. We open access and orchestrate your visit end to end, subject to availability.
From your dates and your wishes, we match your trip to the best sessions: the start of the fortnight for the profusion of stars, the second week for the drama, or finals weekend for the grand spectacle. We privately source the seats — Centre Court or No.1 Court Debenture tickets, the only Wimbledon tickets the AELTC permits to be transferred to third parties — including access to the Debenture holders' lounges and restaurants. Around them we orchestrate the setting: chauffeur from Mayfair, a palace such as Claridge's or The Connaught, private aviation via Farnborough or Biggin Hill.
The second week and finals weekend go first: the earlier your request reaches us, the better we secure the days and the Debenture tickets that matter to you. Indicative prices, on request, in £ (GBP).
