Personal shopping during London Fashion Week: acquisition, made to measure

A dedicated personal shopper and stylist, private appointments subject to availability, a fitting on Savile Row and a wardrobe delivered to your suite — shopping as an experience, not an errand.

Your shopping week, composed to measure

From the styling brief to the parcel shipped to the other side of the world, this is how we compose a week of acquisitions worthy of London Fashion Week.

01

Dedicated personal shopper & stylist

Everything begins with a brief: your existing wardrobe, the houses and designers you favour, the week's occasions — show, dinner, evening — and what you are truly looking for. Your dedicated duo — a personal shopper for the search, a stylist for the silhouette — then prepares pre-selections before your arrival, organises the days by neighbourhood and accompanies you to every appointment. The accompaniment is quoted on request, according to the number of days and its level, purchases excluded. Our guide What is the London Fashion Week dress code? completes the work on the week's codes.

02

Private appointments & after-hours access

The experience changes everything: the private salon of a Bond Street boutique, a dedicated presentation with the sales team on Mount Street, a store opened for you before or after public hours where conditions allow. These appointments rest with each house and are only ever confirmed subject to availability — never on a promise. We place your request with the right teams, drawing where appropriate on your existing relationship with the house, and organise the rest: chauffeur, timings, discretion, through to the pieces' return to your suite.

03

The neighbourhoods, one by one

Each geography has its register: Bond Street, Mount Street and Dover Street in Mayfair for the great houses and concept stores, Burlington Arcade and Jermyn Street in St James's for the gentleman's wardrobe, Sloane Street and Knightsbridge for a quieter elegance, Marylebone High Street and the boutiques of Westbourne Grove and Ledbury Road in Notting Hill for independent labels, Shoreditch and East London for the young designers. We compose your days neighbourhood by neighbourhood, chauffeur in support, so that the week follows a thread rather than a list. Our guide The neighbourhoods of London Fashion Week details each scene.

04

Savile Row, artisans & express alterations

London is not only its shop windows: the tailors of Savile Row, the shirtmakers of Jermyn Street, bootmakers, hatters and leather craftsmen keep alive a craftsmanship we open to you by appointment, where possible — bespoke commissions included, within each house's own timeline of fittings, which often extends well beyond the week. For the week itself, our network of alteration tailors works express: a hem in the morning for that evening's dinner, a waist taken in before a show. The wardrobe is pressed, prepared and hung in your suite, outfit by outfit, occasion by occasion.

05

Suite delivery & shipping overseas

You do not carry your bags. Every acquisition is delivered to your hotel or townhouse within the day, checked and presented. One point deserves clarity: the United Kingdom no longer refunds VAT on purchases carried home in your luggage — that scheme ended in 2021. When a boutique ships a purchase directly to an address outside the United Kingdom, the sale may be exempt from British VAT, depending on the boutique; we organise that shipping with them — appropriate packing, insurance, customs formalities, coordination with your home. And if you return by private aviation via Farnborough, the rest of the wardrobe simply travels with you, loaded on board by our team.

Why TGZ

Why entrust your personal shopping to TGZ

Shopping during London Fashion Week is a matter of time: the boutiques are busy, the teams stretched, your diary counted between two shows over a handful of days. Our value lies there: a single point of contact prepares the pre-selections, secures the right slots, sets the chauffeur between each address, follows the alterations through and delivers everything to your suite. One day with us is worth a week of errands — and it is lived as an experience, not a marathon.

TGZ Conciergerie is independent: we are affiliated with no designer or fashion house, nor with the British Fashion Council, nor with the organisers of London Fashion Week, and hold no official status. That independence allows advice with no bias other than your silhouette. It also demands candour: private appointments and after-hours access rest with the sole decision of each boutique and are only ever confirmed subject to availability, where conditions allow — we tell you what is realistic, house by house, and we are equally plain about the VAT rules on what you take home.

The finest weeks are prepared: pre-selections before your arrival, appointments requested in advance, a first Savile Row fitting scheduled, alteration tailors reserved, pieces sourced where possible. To frame your project, our guide How much does a VIP London Fashion Week cost? explains what shapes each element, our guide The neighbourhoods of London Fashion Week maps the scenes of acquisition, and our guide What is the London Fashion Week dress code? prepares the week's codes. For the stay as a whole — hotel or townhouse, shows where possible, evenings —, our page London Fashion Week VIP orchestrates everything.

Frequently asked questions

A complete accompaniment: a styling brief in advance, pre-selections prepared before your arrival, days organised neighbourhood by neighbourhood with a chauffeur, private appointments subject to availability, after-hours access where conditions allow, a Savile Row or Jermyn Street fitting if you wish, fittings in your suite, express alterations, then delivery to your hotel and, if needed, shipping overseas. The exact scope — from simple scouting to the week's complete wardrobe — is defined with you and set out in your quotation.

The quotation depends on the number of days and the level of accompaniment — personal shopper alone or a duo with a stylist, preparation in advance, fittings in your suite — purchases excluded, which are settled directly with the houses. Add, where relevant, a dedicated chauffeur and atelier work. Availability and conditions are confirmed before any commitment; our guide How much does a VIP London Fashion Week cost? places this element within the week as a whole.

Sometimes, and never on a promise: opening a private salon, a dedicated presentation or access before or after public hours rests with the sole decision of each house. We place your request with the right teams, subject to availability and where conditions allow — the week, in heavy demand, requires anticipation. Where privatisation is not achievable, an accompanied appointment with the sales team already offers an experience of an entirely different order from a walk-in visit.

No longer for purchases you carry home: the United Kingdom ended VAT refunds for visitors in 2021, so goods taken away in your luggage include British VAT. The one route that remains is direct shipping: when the boutique itself sends a purchase to an address outside the United Kingdom, the sale may be exempt from VAT, depending on the boutique and its procedures. We check this with each house before you buy and organise the shipping with them, customs formalities included.

Alterations, yes: our network of tailors and ateliers works express during the week — hems, waists, last-minute adjustments — with lead times counted in hours for simple work, and validated piece by piece for the most delicate. A bespoke Savile Row commission is a different rhythm: the week allows the first appointment and measurements, while subsequent fittings follow the house's own timeline, often over several months. We arrange those return visits, or their coordination, when you wish.

Yes. Every acquisition is delivered to your hotel or townhouse within the day, checked before handover. For shipping overseas, we coordinate with each boutique, since a direct shipment by the retailer is what may allow the VAT exemption: packing suited to delicate pieces, insurance, customs formalities, delivery to your home or your next destination. If you return by private aviation via Farnborough or London City, the wardrobe you keep with you is simply loaded on board by our team.
