How to Attend TEFAF Maastricht?
Entry ticket, multiple entry, invitations to the preview days: what can be bought, what is received, and how to prepare your fair days.
Last updated 6 October 2026 · 4 min read
To attend TEFAF Maastricht, the route open to all is the ticket, sold by TEFAF on its website, for the public days from Saturday 13 to Thursday 18 March 2027, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.: single-entry ticket or multiple-entry ticket, a youth ticket for 12 to 18-year-olds, free entry for under-12s. The sale is announced for mid-October 2026. The preview days, Thursday 11 and Friday 12 March, are reserved for guests: these invitations are issued by TEFAF and by the exhibiting dealers, to their collectors, to curators and to professionals, and cannot be bought. TGZ Conciergerie sells no invitations; we arrange the purchase of your tickets in your name where possible, and prepare your fair days.
Two phases, and one route that is freely bought
TEFAF Maastricht works in two phases. The preview days, Thursday 11 and Friday 12 March 2027, by invitation only; then the public days, from Saturday 13 to Thursday 18 March, open to all with a ticket, every day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
This guide reviews each of these routes, what it requires and what it allows. One point from the outset: TGZ Conciergerie is an independent house, with no affiliation to TEFAF, MECC Maastricht or the exhibiting dealers, and no official status. We sell neither invitations nor resold tickets: we arrange the purchase of tickets in your name through TEFAF's ticket shop where possible, and we tell you when it is not possible.
| Type of access | Who issues it | Days | What TGZ can do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry ticket | TEFAF, on its website | One day, from 13 to 18 March | Arrange the purchase in your name, subject to availability |
| Multiple-entry ticket | TEFAF, on its website | Several days, from 13 to 18 March | Arrange the purchase in your name, subject to availability |
| Youth ticket (12–18) | TEFAF, on its website | Public days | Add it for your guests; free entry under 12 |
| Preview invitation | TEFAF and exhibiting dealers | Thursday 11 and Friday 12 March | Nothing: it is not for sale, and we issue none |

The ticket: the route open to all
TEFAF sells its tickets itself, on its website; the sale for 2027 is announced for mid-October 2026. The entry ticket is valid for one day; the multiple-entry ticket lets you return, which suits a fair one likes to take in two visits. The exact conditions of each ticket are set and published by TEFAF.
It is the simple route, and it is enough for a very fine visit: the same dealers, the same works, the same stands as on the preview days. The weekend is often the busiest; the weekdays, from Monday 15 to Thursday 18 March, leave more room in front of the works. We arrange the purchase of your tickets in your name where possible, then compose the day around them.
The preview days: what they are, who invites
The preview days open the fair before the public, on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 March 2027. They are reserved for guests: collectors, museum curators and directors, advisers, press and market professionals. Invitations are issued by TEFAF itself and by the exhibiting dealers, who send them to their clients.
It has to be said plainly: an invitation to the preview cannot be bought. It comes from a relationship — with a dealer from whom one acquires, with TEFAF for the institutions and professionals it knows. No serious concierge can sell one, and any offer of "preview access" for sale should be treated with suspicion: at best a confusion, at worst an invitation in someone else's name, refused at the door.
If you are a collector who acquires from exhibiting dealers, they are the ones to turn to: they know your collection and decide on their invitations alone. TGZ plays no part in that choice.

Preparing your fair days
A successful day at the MECC is prepared like an appointment. We help you choose your days, identify in advance the sections that matter to you, and plan pauses: the fair is vast, and attention needs to be spared.
One practical rule to know: coats, umbrellas, large bags and suitcases are not allowed inside the fair; they are left at the cloakroom or in the lockers, at the entrance. Your chauffeur can also keep them. Around the visit, we handle what depends on us alone: drop-off at the entrance, lunch booked in one of the fair's restaurants or in town, return to the hotel before dinner. The fair is fully accessible to wheelchair users, and wheelchairs can be reserved from the MECC.
What can be lived without an invitation — and it is a great deal
The stay is not just the preview. The public days give access to the whole fair; the city, its churches and its museums are open to all; the nearby countryside, its châteaux and villages, are free to discover. Our guide What to Do in Maastricht During TEFAF? maps it out.
In the evening, exhibitors' dinners and collectors' receptions are held by invitation: we pass on requests where possible, after reviewing the client's profile, without guarantee. And when no invitation comes, we create the evening — a private salon, an estate rented to entertain, a table held for you. Many of our clients discover that a large part of the stay never depended on an invitation.
