What is the US Open?
The US Open is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the tennis season, after the Australian Open and Wimbledon. Organized by the USTA, it takes place each year in late summer at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York.
The heart of the tournament is Arthur Ashe Stadium, the world's largest tennis stadium with around 23,771 seats and a retractable roof added in 2016. This is where the finals and marquee matches are played, both day and night. The grounds also include Louis Armstrong Stadium (around 14,000 seats, retractable roof) and the Grandstand (around 8,000 seats, no roof), plus numerous outer courts.
When does the US Open 2026 take place?
The main draw of the US Open 2026 runs from Sunday, August 30 to Sunday, September 13, 2026. The women's final is on Saturday, September 12 and the men's final on Sunday, September 13. Week 1 covers the early rounds; Week 2 concentrates the round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.
Beforehand, Fan Week begins on August 23, with Arthur Ashe Kids' Day on August 23 and free qualifying around August 24 to 27. On Arthur Ashe, the organizer sells separate day sessions (around 11am, two to three matches, which also grant access to the outer courts) and night sessions (around 7pm, two marquee matches), the latter being the most in-demand. Finals days are single sessions.
How to attend in VIP: the packages
Several levels of VIP experience coexist. The luxury suites at Arthur Ashe are private spaces of around 22 to 35 seats, with all-inclusive catering; they are booked by the session, on request. Loge and courtside seats offer exceptional proximity to the court, particularly sought after for night sessions and finals weekend.
Official hospitality exists under the US Open Premier brand (USTA, hospitality.usopen.org), with On Location as the official travel partner. TGZ is an independent concierge, not affiliated with the USTA, the US Open or On Location, and is not an official reseller. Our access is privately sourced, outside the public ticket office, and offered subject to availability. The details of each package are covered in a dedicated VIP hospitality guide.
Where to sit and where to stay
At Arthur Ashe, the tiers run from closest to the court to farthest: Courtside (right by the court), Loge (first balcony, balancing view and atmosphere), Luxury Suites (private all-inclusive boxes) and Promenade (upper bowl). The choice depends on the session, the proximity you want and the budget. A dedicated guide details the best seats according to your priorities.
For accommodation, Manhattan remains the ideal base: grand hotels and suites in the heart of the city, around 9 miles from the venue, or 20 to 40 minutes by car. We build the stay around an exceptional hotel, a private chauffeur and fine-dining tables, all tailor-made.
How much it costs and when to book
Budgets depend on the tier, the round and the session. On an indicative basis and on the private market, which uses dynamic pricing: a premium reserved seat early in the tournament sits around $150 to $600 and above per session, a loge mid-tournament around $1,300 to $2,500, and courtside for finals or major matches around $6,000 to $9,000, more for the most coveted matchups. Luxury suites run into five or six figures per session, on request. A dedicated guide goes deeper into each price range.
Beyond the ticket, the Manhattan hotel, dining, chauffeur and helicopter add to the budget. As the best seats and night sessions sell quickly, we recommend booking early, subject to availability. Our detailed guides cover each topic: hospitality packages, best seats, where to stay and how to get there.
