How do you get to Wimbledon?

Arrival reimagined for the international guest: door to door, no queueing, all the way to the gates of the All England Club.

In short

The elegant way to reach Wimbledon is a private chauffeur from central London: 30 to 45 minutes, door to door, to the gates. International guests fly private into Farnborough, Biggin Hill or London City, then continue by car or helicopter. Public options exist (Southfields tube, District line) but they are not the VIP route. TGZ arranges it all, subject to availability.

How do you get to Wimbledon?

The All England Lawn Tennis Club sits on Church Road in Wimbledon, south-west London (SW19) — only about half an hour from Mayfair and the heart of the capital. That proximity can be deceptive: during the fortnight the area around the grounds grows dense, and every minute matters when you are making a Centre Court or No.1 Court session.

For a discerning guest, the private chauffeur is the default. A premium saloon or SUV collects you at your palace or residence and sets you down as close to the gates as access allows, with no transfer and no queue. The journey becomes a calm interlude — air-conditioned, discreet, punctual — rather than a logistical chore.

Every other mode — private jet, helicopter, even the Underground for context — builds around that foundation. TGZ assembles the full chain according to your point of departure, your session time and the shape of your day, subject to availability.

Arriving by private aviation

For international guests, private aviation transforms the approach to London. Three terminals serve Wimbledon naturally: Farnborough, the benchmark business-aviation airport south-west of the capital; Biggin Hill to the south-east, prized for short transfer times; and London City, in the heart of the city for compatible aircraft.

On arrival, formalities take place in a private-aviation terminal: swift clearance, baggage handled, no waiting in public areas. Your chauffeur is waiting at the foot of the steps, and the transfer to Wimbledon or your Mayfair palace flows on without a break.

Depending on the airport and the hour, the onward leg can be by car or by helicopter. TGZ coordinates the air operator, the landing slot and the ground transfer so the whole sequence pivots around your session time. Flights, slots and transfers are on request and subject to availability.

Chauffeur & helicopter transfers

The private chauffeur is the signature of a controlled arrival. From Mayfair, Knightsbridge or your hotel, a dedicated vehicle — often a Mercedes S-Class, a Maybach or a prestige SUV — drives you door to door in 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic. The same chauffeur stays at your disposal across the day: an early departure, a return after the last ball, a dinner stop.

To free yourself entirely from London traffic, a helicopter transfer is an exceptional option. From a regional heliport, or directly from your arrival airport, the flight brings Wimbledon within minutes, with a chauffeur relay over the final stretch to the gates.

In every case the guiding idea is the same: no dead time, no queue, a presence at the gate timed to the opening of your session. Chauffeur and helicopter are on request, subject to availability.

Transport options compared

Each mode suits a different kind of stay. The table below summarises the main options and their indicative travel time to the All England Club (AELTC), from private jet to train — the latter noted purely for context, as it is not the VIP route.

How TGZ orchestrates your arrival

TGZ Conciergerie is an independent luxury concierge: we are not affiliated with The Championships, the AELTC or Wimbledon. Our role is to open access and orchestrate every link of your day, from take-off to the last ball.

In practice, we time transfers to the minute around your session: hotel pick-up, private-aviation coordination, chauffeur or helicopter relay, a set-down as close to the gates as access allows, then a return or a dinner stop. No queue, no dead time, a single point of contact for the whole logistics.

Beyond the journey, we orchestrate the entire day: hospitality, dining, timing between sessions, the return to your Mayfair palace. You focus on the tennis; we hold the rest. Bespoke services, indicative prices on request, subject to availability.
