How to Attend the Bal de la Rose?
Who offers the places, how they are allocated, why they cannot be resold: how the evening really works, drawn from public sources.
Last updated 5 October 2026 · 4 min read
Places at the Bal de la Rose are offered by its organiser, Groupe Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, at a per-person price it sets itself, for the benefit of the Princess Grace Foundation. A share is entrusted, in limited number, to clubs and associations of the Principality, which allocate them to their members; registration there does not mean confirmation. Places are issued in the guest's name and are non-transferable, and they often go well before the evening. A place resold by an intermediary is therefore not a secure place. TGZ sells none: we tell you whom to approach, and we arrange the stay in Monaco around the ball.
The short answer: the organiser offers the places
The Bal de la Rose is a charity evening organised by Groupe Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, for the benefit of the Princess Grace Foundation. It is the organiser that offers the places, through its booking service, and that publishes the details of the evening on its calendar each year: date, venue, time, dress code.
This guide describes how the evening works as publicly documented — by the organiser, by the Monaco tourist office, by the clubs of the Principality and by the press. One point from the outset: TGZ Conciergerie is an independent house, not affiliated with the Princess Grace Foundation, the Prince's Palace or Société des Bains de Mer, with no official status. We sell no place and know of no way around the rules.

The routes that genuinely exist
The first route is direct: booking with the organiser, at the per-person price it sets, within the limit of available places. The place covers the evening — cocktail reception, dinner, show, ball; the organiser specifies what is included and what is not.
The second goes through the clubs and associations of the Principality. The organiser entrusts them with a limited number of places, which they allocate to their members according to their own rules: registration does not mean confirmation, and the place is secured only once allocated and paid for. The table below summarises these routes.
| Route | Who decides | What it implies |
|---|---|---|
| Booking with the organiser | Groupe Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer | Per-person price set by the organiser, places in limited number |
| A club or association allocation | The club, from the allocation entrusted by the organiser | Reserved for members; registration does not ensure a place |
| Invitation by a host | The host who booked a table | Place issued in the guest's name |
| A "package" resold online | No legitimate party | Place issued in a name and non-transferable: to be avoided |
Places in the guest's name: why resale does not work
Places at the ball are issued in the guest's name and are non-transferable: they are made out to the person who will attend the evening. That is what makes resale fragile. A place bought from an intermediary, in someone else's name, may not be honoured, and recourse is uncertain.
Every spring, offers circulate: "packages", "VIP tables", "assured access". The rule is simple: approach the organiser, or a club that receives its allocation from it. We say so as it is, including when it means we cannot help with the place itself.

When to act
Places often go well before the evening: bookings for the 2026 edition had closed before the ball, and the 2023 edition was full. For 2027, the date has not yet been published; it will fall on a Saturday in March. The sensible course is to follow the organiser's calendar from the autumn and to come forward early.
For the stay, the logic is the same: on the weekend of the ball, the finer rooms in Monte-Carlo are booked quickly. We can commit to the hotel before your place is confirmed, under verified cancellation terms, then adjust.
What we do, and what we do not
We sell no place and no table at the Bal de la Rose, promise no access and do not approach the organiser on your behalf. We tell you honestly who offers the places. If you have yours, we arrange everything around the evening: the room, the stylist, the car to the Sporting, the next day's dinner.
If you do not, we compose a weekend in Monaco that is lived without a place at the ball — and that is a great deal: a Monte-Carlo palace, the great tables on Friday and Sunday, an evening composed for you on Saturday, the helicopter from Nice. Our Bal de la Rose VIP page presents the whole.
Frequently asked questions
With the organiser, Groupe Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, which publishes the details of the evening and the booking arrangements each year, or through a club of the Principality that receives an allocation of places for its members.
The arrangements are a matter for the organiser, which states what it offers for each edition. Places remain in the guest's name: each person at a table is registered individually. We sell neither places nor tables.
Not reliably, and anyone who promises it should be treated with caution: places are issued in the guest's name and are non-transferable. TGZ sells no place; we tell you whom to approach and arrange the stay around it.
The evening itself — cocktail reception, dinner, show, raffle, ball — as the organiser specifies for each edition, including for drinks. The hotel, the journeys and the attire are not part of it: that is what we arrange.
As early as you can: places often go well before the evening, and the 2027 date has not yet been published. Follow the organiser's calendar from the autumn, and book the hotel early, under verified cancellation terms.
Everything around the evening: the room in Monte-Carlo, the stylist and fittings, hair and make-up, the car to the Sporting as the doors open and the journey back, the Friday and Sunday dinners, the helicopter from Nice.
