How to Attend Henley Royal Regatta?
Two enclosures, a riverside restaurant, chalets, an island: what the regatta sells, what is sourced on request, and what remains reserved for members.

To attend Henley Royal Regatta, you need a ticket for one of the two enclosures on the Berkshire bank. The Regatta Enclosure is open to all: the regatta sells day tickets for it, released in the spring, and under-14s enter free with an adult. The Stewards' Enclosure, opposite the finish, is reserved for its members and their guests: membership requires being proposed and seconded by two members, followed by a waiting list of several years. The regatta also sells hospitality packages — a riverside restaurant, private chalets, Temple Island —, some of which offer optional access to the Stewards' Enclosure. TGZ resells no tickets: we source enclosures and hospitality on request, origin and conditions confirmed before any commitment.
The overall answer: two enclosures, several ways to be there
At Henley, the enclosure decides what you see, where you sit and what you wear. There are two ways to be there: with a simple enclosure ticket, or through a hospitality package sold by the regatta, which includes its own riverside space.
The table below summarises what the regatta describes for each option.
| Option | What it offers | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Stewards' Enclosure | Opposite the finish line: two grandstands, including the Members' Grandstand with reserved seating, bars and restaurants, an art gallery and the Prize Tent, riverside places | Members and their guests; optional access with some of the regatta's hospitality packages |
| Regatta Enclosure | Just downstream: an open grandstand with no booking required, riverside places, a covered restaurant, a bar, large screens | Ticket sold by the regatta, open to all |
| Fawley Meadows restaurant | Riverside restaurant: lunch, tea, bar, a cruise along the course | Hospitality package sold by the regatta |
| Private chalet or Temple Island | A private space beside the course, or the island at the start, to host a group | Hospitality package sold by the regatta |

The Stewards' Enclosure: what can be done, and what cannot
The Stewards' Enclosure is the members' enclosure, on the Berkshire bank, opposite the finish line. To become a member, you must be eighteen — or have rowed at Henley —, be proposed and seconded by two members, then wait on a list that the regatta estimates at about four to ten years. Each member receives guest badges: two per day from Tuesday to Friday, one on Saturday and Sunday. Children are admitted from the age of ten.
To put it plainly: we can neither have you admitted as a member, nor obtain a guest badge, nor work around the waiting list. What the regatta does state, however, is that some of its hospitality packages — at the Fawley Meadows restaurant, notably — offer optional access to the Stewards' Enclosure. We source them on request, subject to availability and the conditions published for 2027; the enclosure's dress code applies in full, and phone calls are not permitted.
The Regatta Enclosure: the regatta, open to all
Just downstream of the Stewards' Enclosure, the Regatta Enclosure welcomes everyone — families, friends, supporters, rowers. It offers an open grandstand, where you sit without booking, riverside places, a covered restaurant, a terrace, a bar and large screens to follow the races in full.
No dress code is imposed; many nonetheless come in a club blazer. Under-14s enter free with an adult, up to two children per adult ticket. Only small bags are permitted, and no food or drink may be brought in. Tickets are named and non-refundable, released by the regatta in the spring.

Hospitality sold by the regatta
The regatta sells its own hospitality packages, open for booking for 2027. At the Fawley Meadows restaurant, on the riverbank, the day includes, from Tuesday to Saturday, English sparkling wine on arrival, a five-course lunch with paired wines, afternoon tea, the bar, priority boarding for a cruise along the course and reserved parking; Sunday is more of a family day. The private chalets, with their garden on the course, let you host a group as if at home. Temple Island, the island that marks the start, hosts a seated lunch for forty guests, or a more informal format for forty to seventy.
We source these packages on request, from the regatta or authorised partners, origin and conditions confirmed before any commitment. For a couple or a few friends, a table at the restaurant is enough; to host family or clients, the chalet or the island is often the right answer.
| Package | What it includes | For whom |
|---|---|---|
| Fawley Meadows restaurant | Welcome, five-course lunch with wines, tea, bar, a cruise on the course, reserved parking; optional access to the Stewards' Enclosure | Couples, friends, small groups |
| Private riverside chalet | A serviced chalet, with a garden overlooking the course | Hosting a group in private |
| Temple Island | The island at the start: seated lunch for forty, or an informal format for forty to seventy guests | Large groups, corporate receptions |
Key points
The Regatta Enclosure can be bought from the regatta; the Stewards' Enclosure remains that of members and their guests, with optional access offered by some hospitality packages. TGZ Conciergerie, an independent house with no affiliation to Henley Royal Regatta, and no official status whatsoever, resells no tickets: we source enclosures, tables and chalets on request, origin and conditions confirmed before any commitment, and compose the whole stay around them.
