How Do LACMA Art+Film Gala Tables Work?
Who offers the tables, where the money goes, what to know before committing: how the evening really works, based on the information published by the museum.

Tables and seats at the LACMA Art+Film Gala are offered by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art itself: tables of eight or ten covers depending on the category, individual seats, and the option to contribute without attending the evening. The museum sets the terms and decides on acceptance; the sums paid support its programmes, in particular the place it gives to film. The request is made directly to the museum. TGZ Conciergerie sells, resells or books no table, and promises no seat: we arrange the stay in Los Angeles around the evening.
The short answer: everything goes through the museum
The LACMA Art+Film Gala is a benefit evening: that of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, which holds it on its Wilshire Boulevard campus. The museum itself offers the tables and seats, and explains on its page dedicated to the evening how to approach it.
This guide describes how it works as publicly documented. One point from the outset: TGZ Conciergerie is an independent house, not affiliated with the museum or the organisers of the evening, with no official status. We sell no access and know of no way around the process.

The ways to take part
The museum distinguishes several ways of taking part in the evening. A full table, of eight or ten covers depending on its category, suits a house, a company or a host receiving guests. An individual seat allows you to come alone or as a couple. A contribution, finally, supports the museum without attendance at the evening.
In every case, it is the museum that sets the terms, confirms the seats and decides the seating plan. The table below summarises the routes that genuinely exist.
| Route | Who decides | What it involves |
|---|---|---|
| Full table (eight or ten covers) | The museum | A host receives guests; terms set by the museum |
| Individual seat | The museum | Come alone or as a couple; seating decided by the museum |
| Contribution without attendance | The museum | Support its programmes without attending the evening |
| Seat "resold" online | No legitimate party | To be set aside: only the museum offers seats |
Where the money goes
The museum states it clearly: the proceeds of the evening support its initiative to give film a central place in its programming, and more broadly its mission — exhibitions, acquisitions, education programmes. That is what gives the evening its name, and its meaning.
It also explains why the request must go through the museum: participation in a benefit evening is not a show ticket. It is part of a relationship with the institution, which knows whom it is dealing with.

What happens during the evening
The evening follows an established order: arrival on the campus, cocktails, a dinner, the tributes paid to the year's artist and filmmaker, then, often, a musical performance. The expected dress is formal black tie; the invitation is what counts. Our guide LACMA Art+Film Gala Dress Code sets out the codes.
The next day, the evening is told in pictures. The museum, for its part, reopens to its visitors: a simple way, for those who were not there, to see what the evening supports.
A word of caution: resold seats
Offers sometimes circulate: "seats", "gala packages", "assured access". The rule is simple: only the museum offers seats at its evening, and it decides on acceptance. A seat that is resold falls outside that framework — either it is refused at the door, or it simply does not exist.
Parties held elsewhere in the city that same weekend also belong to their hosts: by invitation, never by booking. We say so plainly.

What we do, and what we do not
We sell, resell or book no table, promise no seat and do not approach the museum on your behalf. We can tell you how to approach it; what follows is between you and the museum.
Then we arrange everything around the evening: the suite in Beverly Hills, the stylist, the car that drops you off and waits, the dinner the next day, the visit to the galleries. If you are not taking part in the evening, we compose a stay that is lived very well without it. Our page LACMA Art+Film Gala VIP presents the whole.
