How to Get to the Monaco Yacht Show?
Nice airport, seven minutes by helicopter, a car waiting: the arrival in Monaco and the journeys of the show, planned in advance.

For the Monaco Yacht Show, you arrive via Nice Côte d'Azur airport, on a scheduled flight or a private jet; Monaco has no airport. From there, the helicopter reaches the Monaco heliport, in Fontvieille, in about seven minutes; the road, around twenty kilometres, takes half an hour outside peak times, longer during the show. The train serves Monaco station from Nice along the coastal line, and the organiser points to a car park with a shuttle for visitors coming by car. On site, the show is covered on foot along the quays of Port Hercule; a dedicated chauffeur makes the comings and goings and the dinners simpler. Every journey is quoted on request.
Arriving at Nice Côte d'Azur
Nice Côte d'Azur airport is the gateway to Monaco. It receives scheduled flights from the major European cities and business aviation. From Paris, London or Geneva, a private jet fits around your diary: arrival the day before your first appointments, or the same morning for a short stay.
We organise the welcome on arrival, the transfer of luggage and the rest of the journey without waiting. In late September, business aviation slots are in demand on the Côte d'Azur: we book early and tell you what is realistic.

The helicopter: seven minutes to Monaco
The helicopter links Nice airport to the Monaco heliport, in the Fontvieille district, in about seven minutes. A scheduled service runs many rotations; a private flight is booked at the time that suits you. On arrival, a car takes you to your hotel or directly to the port.
It is the simple option for those arriving on the day or wanting to avoid the show's busy road. It depends on the weather: strong wind or reduced visibility can suspend flights. We always plan a back-up car.
| Option | Indicative duration | Who it is for | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Helicopter, scheduled service | About 7 minutes | A quick arrival, little luggage | Weather-dependent; car to the hotel |
| Private helicopter | About 7 minutes | Flexible timing, small group | Booked in advance; back-up car planned |
| Car with chauffeur | Half an hour outside peak times, longer during the show | Group, luggage, busy days | By the motorway or the coast road |
| Train from Nice | Depending on the timetable | A simple journey, without heavy luggage | Monaco station; port a few minutes away |
The road and parking
By road, Nice airport is around twenty kilometres from Monaco, by the motorway or the coast road. During the show, the area around Port Hercule is very busy and stopping there is limited: a chauffeur who drops you off and picks you up saves looking for a space.
For those coming by car, the organiser points to a car park at the entrance to the Principality, linked to the show by a shuttle. We prefer a dedicated chauffeur throughout the stay: the chauffeur waits, comes back at the agreed time and keeps to your evening schedule.

Getting around during the show
On the quays, everything is done on foot: the show stretches along the pontoons of Port Hercule. Bring comfortable shoes for the quays, and ones that are easy to take off — you often go on board barefoot or in slippers provided by the crew.
Between the hotel, the port and the dinners, we put together a daily travel plan: drop-off as close as possible to your first appointment, a car waiting, night-time returns. For an appointment outside Monaco — a shipyard, a nearby anchorage —, a crewed boat or a car is arranged case by case.
Departure
The show closes on Saturday in the early evening; departures are then concentrated at the end of the week, with helicopter and business aviation slots in high demand. We book early, time the helicopter or the car to your flight and organise the return of luggage. Our guide Where to Stay During the Monaco Yacht Show? helps you choose the address to leave from.
