How to Get to TEFAF Maastricht?

A city on three borders, a business airport a quarter of an hour away, a station at the foot of the fair: in Maastricht, the logistics come down to a few simple choices.

In short

To reach TEFAF Maastricht from Paris, the simple route is the direct Eurostar to Liège-Guillemins, in a little over two hours, then the train or a chauffeur to Maastricht, in around forty minutes. By private jet, Maastricht Aachen Airport, in Beek, handles business aviation some fifteen minutes from the MECC; the airports of Liège, Brussels, Eindhoven and Düsseldorf are, for many, less than an hour away. Locally, the MECC is 250 metres from Maastricht-Randwyck station, buses link it to the centre every five minutes, and TEFAF runs a free shuttle between the centre and the fair from 11 to 18 March 2027. A dedicated chauffeur handles the journeys between the fair, the city and the countryside.

Arriving in Maastricht: train, plane, private jet

From Paris, the Eurostar links the Gare du Nord directly to Liège-Guillemins in a little over two hours; from there, a regional train reaches Maastricht in around forty minutes, or a chauffeur waits for you at the station. By air, several international airports are less than an hour's drive away for many: Brussels, Düsseldorf, Eindhoven, Liège. Choosing your airfield by private jet

Maastricht Aachen Airport is the closest solution: its 2,750-metre runway accommodates a wide range of aircraft, and you are welcomed in a terminal devoted to business aviation. Liège, across the border, offers an alternative depending on schedules and aircraft.

In mid-March, slots are in demand during the fair: booking is done early, and we compare aircraft and airfields according to your party, your schedule and the address where you are staying, with a chauffeur waiting at the foot of the aircraft.

03

Getting around during the fair: station, bus, shuttle and chauffeur

The MECC is in the south-east of the city, in the Randwyck district, 250 metres from Maastricht-Randwyck station. Buses link the centre and the central station to the MECC every five minutes, and TEFAF runs a free shuttle between the city centre and the fair from Thursday 11 to Thursday 18 March 2027, with several stops in town.

The MECC's car parks are numerous, all within a ten-minute walk of the entrance. A dedicated chauffeur remains invaluable: dropping you at the entrance, keeping coats and bags, which the fair does not admit, waiting between two appointments, and handling the evening returns, to town or to the countryside.

04

Planning a day between the fair and the city

Maastricht is compact: a successful day is planned in two parts. The fair from 11 a.m., lunch booked on site or in town, then the old town in the late afternoon, on foot, before dinner. Between two addresses in the centre, walking is often more pleasant than the car.

If you are staying in the countryside, the chauffeur links the estate, the fair and the city in some twenty minutes each time. Our guide Where to Stay During TEFAF Maastricht? helps you choose the address; our guide What to Do in Maastricht During TEFAF? helps you choose what matters.

05

Documents, luggage and acquired works

Maastricht is in the Schengen area: from France and Belgium there are no systematic border checks, but keep an identity document with you. Suitcases are not allowed inside the fair: if you arrive or leave on the day of a visit, your chauffeur keeps them.

If you acquire a work during the fair, its transport is a matter for the dealer and their shippers, under the applicable rules; we are glad to coordinate delivery appointments with your diary, without taking part in the transaction.
