The amfAR Gala in Venice is amfAR's benefit evening for AIDS research, held every late summer during the Venice Film Festival (the Mostra), in a historic venue of the city that changes almost every year; the 2027 date and venue have not yet been published. Tables and places are sold by the foundation itself: TGZ sells none. What can be composed is the stay in Venice around it: a hotel on the Grand Canal, on the Giudecca or on the Lido, a private boat, dinners, evening dress — on quotation.
The evening
The amfAR Gala in Venice is held by amfAR — The Foundation for AIDS Research — for the benefit of its research programmes on HIV and AIDS. First held in 2021 at the Arsenale, it reached its sixth edition in 2026 at the Molino Stucky: a cocktail reception, a black-tie dinner, performances, an auction.
For 2027, the foundation has published neither the date nor the venue. The gala is expected in September, during the Venice Film Festival; we update our guides as soon as it is announced.
The tables
Tables and places are sold by amfAR itself, for the benefit of research, on its own terms. TGZ Conciergerie, an independent house, sells none, holds no allocation and promises no access; we can only tell you how to approach the foundation. The stay
The stay is composed around the evening: an address on the Grand Canal, near St Mark's, on the Giudecca or on the Lido, or an apartment in a palazzo, a boat with a pilot, tables held at the right hours, a stylist, a day on the lagoon. The journeys
Marco Polo airport receives all types of aircraft and has a private jetty at its business aviation terminal; the city centre is about thirty minutes away by water taxi. The auction takes place during the evening, for its guests. The bidding arrangements are for the foundation, which communicates them to its guests.
Black tie: a dinner jacket for men, a long gown for women. Stable shoes for the jetties, and a stole for the journey back by boat.
It is quoted individually, item by item: the address and category of the suite, the length of stay, the flight, the days of private boat and stylist, the dinners, the size of the group, the timing of the booking. No item includes a gala table.
