Where to Stay for the Bal des Débutantes?
Avenue d'Iéna, avenue Montaigne, the Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the Place Vendôme: the addresses that matter around the ball, compared for a family's stay at the end of November.

For a family's stay around the Bal des Débutantes, there are two approaches. Stay at the Shangri-La Paris, on avenue d'Iéna, where recent editions have been held, subject to availability: everything happens under one roof. Or choose a palace a few minutes away by car: the Plaza Athénée, on avenue Montaigne since 1913; the Four Seasons Hotel George V; Le Bristol, on the Faubourg Saint-Honoré since 1925; the Ritz Paris, on the Place Vendôme since 1898. Connecting rooms, a family suite, a sitting room in which to get ready: on the weekend of the ball, these rooms are booked early. Every stay is quoted individually.
What a family looks for that weekend
An invited family's stay is not like a weekend for two. It often calls for several adjoining or connecting rooms, a sitting room in which to get ready, space for garment bags and outfits, and an address from which the journeys to the fittings and rehearsals stay short.
It also calls for calm: those days are intense for the debutante as for her escort. The addresses cited below are named by way of illustration: we book with them as any client does, with no affiliation to any of them.

The Shangri-La Paris: under one roof
The Shangri-La Paris occupies, at 10 avenue d'Iéna, the hôtel particulier built from 1892 to 1895 for Prince Roland Bonaparte. It became a hotel in December 2010 and received the Palace distinction in 2014; several categories of rooms and suites look onto the Eiffel Tower, across the Seine.
Recent editions of Le Bal have been held there. Staying there means doing away with any journey when the evening comes — provided rooms remain: on the weekend of the ball, the hotel is in high demand. We ask the hotel as soon as you contact us and tell you frankly what is available.
Avenue Montaigne and the George V: the 8th arrondissement
The Plaza Athénée opened on 20 April 1913 at 25 avenue Montaigne. On the upper floors, the rooms and suites on the avenue side look onto the Eiffel Tower; the décor ranges from classic on the lower floors to a reinterpreted Art Deco at the top. At table, the cooking of Jean Imbert and the Relais Plaza, a brasserie of regulars since the 1930s.
A few streets away, the Four Seasons Hotel George V is home to Le Cinq, the restaurant of Christian Le Squer, with three stars in the Michelin Guide. Both addresses are a few minutes by car from avenue d'Iéna: the closeness of a palace to the ball, with the life of a neighbourhood besides.

Le Bristol and the Ritz Paris: the Faubourg and the Place Vendôme
Le Bristol opened in 1925 at 112 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, around a French formal garden of some 1,200 square metres; its indoor pool, on the sixth floor, looks over the rooftops of Paris, and Epicure retains its three Michelin stars there. It is the address for families who want calm and a garden beneath their windows.
The Ritz Paris opened in 1898 at 15 Place Vendôme and reopened in 2016 after four years of works; its 142 rooms and suites are arranged around a large interior garden. Further from avenue d'Iéna than the addresses in the 8th, it remains a reasonable journey by car with a chauffeur.
| Address | Neighbourhood | For whom | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shangri-La Paris | Avenue d'Iéna, 16th | Everything under one roof | In high demand on the weekend of the ball, subject to availability |
| Plaza Athénée | Avenue Montaigne, 8th | The Eiffel Tower from the upper floors | A few minutes by car |
| Four Seasons Hotel George V | Avenue George V, 8th | A great dinner without leaving the hotel | Le Cinq on site |
| Le Bristol | Faubourg Saint-Honoré, 8th | Calm, the garden, the pool | Epicure on site |
| Ritz Paris | Place Vendôme, 1st | The heart of the Right Bank | Longer journey, chauffeur advised |
A residence for the extended family
When grandparents, brothers, sisters and relatives make the journey, a serviced apartment or a private residence offers what a suite does not always give: a large room for the fittings, a dining room for Friday's dinner, the discretion of an address that is not public. A minimum number of nights is often required; we check each property before proposing it.

When to book, and how we proceed
The date is known: Saturday 28 November 2026. We advise booking the hotel as soon as the invitation is accepted, on verified cancellation terms. We book with hotels as any client does: TGZ is affiliated with none of them.
The quote depends on the address, the number and category of rooms, the length of stay and the timing of the booking. It includes nothing that touches the ball. For the rest of the stay — journeys, hair, dinners, chauffeur — our page Bal des Débutantes VIP composes the whole, and our guide Preparing for the Bal des Débutantes sets out the calendar.
