Moltrasio and the west shore
Moltrasio, a few minutes north of Cernobbio, lines its houses between the road and the water. Passalacqua, an eighteenth-century villa restored and turned into a hotel in 2022, has twenty-four rooms there, divided between the villa and two houses, above terraced gardens descending to the lake — cited for illustration.
Further north, in Tremezzina, the Grand Hotel Tremezzo faces the centre of the lake — also cited for illustration. The journey to Cernobbio lengthens, by road or by water: a base for those who want the lake as much as the Concorso.
Como and private villas
The town of Como, at the southern tip of the lake, offers more rooms, a station linked to Milan, tables and an evening life, a few minutes' drive from Cernobbio on ordinary days — longer during the Concorso weekend.
For a family, a group or business guests, a private villa on the lake offers space, discretion, sometimes a jetty, and a chef for the evenings. It is generally booked for several nights.
