Lake Como, 1929

On 1 September 1929, hand-bodied automobiles took their places in the gardens of two villas by the lake. From the following year, the public voted for its favourite car, in secret. The war interrupted the Concorso; it returned, faded away in the early 1950s, then was reborn at the end of the century.

Where you will be

Four ways to be at the Concorso.

Saturday and Sunday are not lived in the same place, nor in the same way. What changes is the villa, and what you make of the lake around it.

Nothing is held in advance. Every option is sourced at your request, from the organisers, and confirmed before you commit; when a door stays closed, we tell you.

What the Concorso weekend looks like, composed by us. Saturday is held at Villa d'Este, Sunday at Villa Erba; the rest is prepared with you.

  1. Friday

    The arrival

    A jet to Milan, an hour's drive north, and the lake comes into view. The evening is yours: a table by the water, nothing more.

  2. Saturday morning

    The jury

    From 9am, the cars are displayed in the park of Villa d'Este and examined by the jury. You walk from one era to the next, in the shade of the great trees.

  3. Midday

    The table

    Lunch in the package confirmed for you, or at a table in Cernobbio, before returning towards the lake.

  4. Saturday afternoon

    The parade

    From 2pm to 5pm, the cars cross the terrace before the jury and the public, up to the presentation of the Coppa d'Oro, awarded by the visitors' vote.

  5. Sunday

    Villa Erba

    A few hundred metres away, the public day at Villa Erba replays the parade in the park. In the evening, a private dinner at your villa; tomorrow, an unhurried return.

Indicative example: every weekend is composed to measure, nothing is booked in advance, and tickets and packages are sourced on request, never resold. Saturday at Villa d'Este depends on the packages released by the organisers, in limited numbers.

TGZ Conciergerie is an independent house, with no official affiliation: we are linked neither to the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este nor to the Villa d'Este hotel, which organises it with its partner. We resell no tickets: tickets and packages are sourced on request, from the organisers, and their origin and conditions are confirmed to you before you commit. Entering a car and the moments reserved for entrants cannot be obtained through us. We compose the entire stay — accommodation, flights, transfers, chauffeur, boat, evenings — with availability confirmed before you commit.

The detail

What to know before you ask.

The organisers sell their own tickets, online; those for 2027 are announced for late 2026. We resell no tickets: we source them on request, origin and conditions confirmed before you commit.

It remains largely reserved for entrants, their guests and the press; the organisers open a limited number of packages. When none are left, we tell you, and we compose the Saturday differently.

The cars are selected by the organisers, on application. We can neither apply on your behalf nor influence the selection: we compose the stay around it.

Jet to Milan Malpensa, some forty-five minutes away; chauffeur to Cernobbio, where parking is scarce over the weekend. A free shuttle links Villa Erba with car parks in Maslianico and Como.

Friday 21 to Sunday 23 May 2027, in Cernobbio, on the shore of Lake Como, according to the dates published by the Villa d'Este hotel and the organisers' programme: Saturday 22 May at Villa d'Este, Sunday 23 May at Villa Erba.

We resell no tickets. When you would like admission or a package, we source it on request, from the organisers, and confirm its origin and conditions before any commitment. When going directly to them is simpler, we will tell you so.

Access to this day is rare: it remains largely reserved for participants, their guests and the press, and the organisers open only a limited number of packages for it. We source them when they exist; otherwise, the Sunday at Villa Erba shows the same cars, open to the public.

The organisers have announced sales opening online in late 2026. The packages in highest demand go quickly: it is best to write to us before they open.

No. Cars are selected by the organisers, by application, and we can neither submit an application on your behalf nor influence the selection. If your car is accepted, we will gladly compose the stay around it.

The stay is composed item by item: the ticket or package, the number of guests, accommodation and the number of nights, arrival by jet, the days with a chauffeur, the boat, the dinners, and when you book. We prepare a bespoke quotation; availability and conditions are confirmed before any commitment.
