Nammos
Psarou beach, on the south of the island, is a small sheltered bay. A taverna stood here from the 1960s; it took the name Nammos in 2003. It has since become a beach restaurant in its own right, with rows of loungers facing the water and, next door, the shops of Nammos Village.
People come for lunch, which starts late and often runs into sunset: fish, crudo, Greek and Mediterranean dishes, at the pace of music that builds through the afternoon. In 2026 the season began on 1 May. June and September are calmer than high summer.
TGZ is an independent house with no link to Nammos. We request the table or loungers for you — often successfully — specifying the row you want; in August the front row is not always possible, and we say so.
