Principote
Panormos is a bay on the north of the island, more exposed to the wind and less built-up than the southern beaches. Principote sits at the top of the beach: pale timber architecture, straw parasols, loungers facing the open sea and a restaurant serving grilled fish, Greek and Mediterranean dishes.
It closed for one season, in 2023, over regulatory issues, and reopened in 2024. It runs seasonally: in 2026 it opened on 16 May. Afternoons are lively, with music, but the bay keeps its space.
TGZ is an independent house with no link to Principote. We request the table or loungers you want — often successfully outside August weekends — and warn you when the north wind makes the beach less pleasant.
