Lido, August 1932
One August evening in 1932, a screen is set up on the terrace of a Lido hotel, facing the sea. Venice's first film festival begins there, in the open air.
Three formats
Three starting points, never three packages. The final composition is built on your brief.
Each format is assembled to measure. None includes an invitation or an accreditation, which only the Biennale issues. Public tickets, when you wish to have them, are bought in your name from the Biennale, subject to availability. Availability and terms for each service are confirmed before any commitment.
Four parts
Four distinct undertakings, which can be taken separately or together. None of them consists of selling an invitation or an accreditation.
Each part is composed on request and subject to availability. Nothing is booked in advance, nothing is sold from a catalogue.
The evening
The theatre belongs to the Biennale and its audience. If you have your ticket, we handle everything else; if not, the evening is composed elsewhere, on the water.

The evening's look waits in the suite, altered if needed. The Biennale recommends formal attire in the Sala Grande; the stylist stays until departure.
From Venice, the water taxi waits at the hotel's landing stage. The crossing to the Lido is timed to the hour of the screening, with a margin when the lagoon turns choppy.
If you have bought your ticket — in your name, from the Biennale — you go into the theatre. If not, the evening begins at dinner, by the water.
A table held in Venice or on the Lido, set apart, at the hour the screening ends. We promise you only what is confirmed.
A hotel lounge still lit, then the boat home, across a calm lagoon.
An indicative example: each evening is composed to measure, nothing is booked in advance, and no invitation or accreditation is part of it.

Our way of working
The same person follows your request from the first exchange to the last evening.
Address, tickets, evening dress, tables and boats are thought through together, not stacked up.
We tell you early what is realistic — and that invitations to gala screenings cannot be bought.
French, English, Spanish — for you and for your guests.
Names, programmes and addresses stay between us.
The same care, whether the request is personal or made on behalf of a company.
Tell us about the experience you have in mind. A dedicated concierge will return with confirmable options tailored to your priorities.
TGZ Conciergerie is an independent house, with no official affiliation: we are linked neither to La Biennale di Venezia, nor to the Venice International Film Festival, nor to the hotels named. Public screening tickets are sold by the Biennale, in the holder's name and non-transferable: we resell no ticket and can only buy them in your name, subject to availability. Invitations and accreditations are for the Biennale alone; we sell none and promise no access. We arrange the stay around the festival — hotel, water taxi, dinners, evening dress — and its availability is confirmed to you before any commitment.
The detail
Public screening tickets are sold by the Biennale, online, in the holder's name and non-transferable: we can buy them in your name, subject to availability, never resell them. Invitations to gala screenings and professional accreditations are for the Biennale alone; we sell none. Everything else — the address, the evening dress, the dinners, the boats — we arrange.
The Mostra is held every late summer on the Lido, over eleven days: from 27 August to 6 September in 2025, from 2 to 12 September in 2026. The Biennale has not yet published the dates of the 84th edition, expected in late August – early September 2027. We first build what does not depend on them — the address, the flight — then the rest as soon as they are announced.
On the Lido, you live the festival on foot, between the beach and the theatres; in Venice, you return each evening to the Grand Canal, a crossing away from the Lido. Staying at the Hotel Excelsior, where the Mostra was born in 1932, gives no access to any screening. Our guide Where to Stay for the Venice Film Festival compares each option.
The Lido is an island: you arrive by water. A water taxi from Marco Polo, the vaporetto from Venice, or a boat with a skipper at your disposal — we set the timings to your screenings and plan a fallback when the lagoon turns choppy.
Frequently asked
No. Invitations and accreditations are for La Biennale di Venezia alone to give; TGZ sells none and promises no access. However, some of the seats in the Sala Grande, including in the evening, are sold to the public by the Biennale: we can buy these tickets in your name, subject to availability.
As of 5 October 2026, the Biennale has not published the dates of the 84th edition. The Mostra lasts eleven days, spanning late August and early September: from 27 August to 6 September in 2025, from 2 to 12 September in 2026. We first build what does not depend on the dates, then the rest as soon as they are announced.
On the Lido, the long island that separates the lagoon from the Adriatic, at the Palazzo del Cinema and the neighbouring theatres, along the Lungomare Marconi. The Lido is reached by water, in around fifteen minutes by vaporetto from Venice.
We buy public screening tickets in your name, on the Biennale's online ticket office, as soon as sales open and subject to availability. They are issued in the holder's name and are non-transferable: we resell no ticket, and we are wary of anyone who does.
It is composed item by item, and each varies with your choices: the address and category of the room, the length of stay, the flight, the boats, the days of stylist, the dinners, the size of the group and the timing of the booking. The price of public tickets is set by the Biennale. We prepare a tailored quote, terms confirmed before any commitment.
No. TGZ Conciergerie is an independent house, with no affiliation to La Biennale di Venezia or the Mostra, and with no official status. That is precisely why we never sell access: we arrange everything around it, which depends on us alone.

The festival belongs to the Biennale. The stay around it, we compose for you.
Tell us your intended dates in late summer 2027, what you have in mind — an address on the Lido or in Venice, screenings, evening dress, dinners, boats — and the number of guests: we build a tailored proposal, discreet and complete, with no invitation or accreditation, subject to availability.
