How to Attend the Salone del Mobile in Milan?

Visitor categories, named tickets, the public weekend, the Fuorisalone: what can be bought, what is free, what comes by invitation, and how to prepare your days.

In short

To attend the Salone del Mobile.Milano, you need a ticket sold by the organiser, after registering on salonemilano.it and choosing your visitor category. Trade professionals are admitted to the fair all week, from 13 to 18 April 2027; suppliers, manufacturers and students from 16 to 18 April; the general public on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April. Tickets are named, issued to a single person and non-transferable: they cannot be resold. Advance sales take place online; tickets are also sold on site, at Rho, during the fair. The Fuorisalone, in the city, is largely free to enter; some events require registration, and private openings or dinners are held by invitation. TGZ Conciergerie resells no tickets; we arrange their purchase in your name where possible.

01

A simple rule: a ticket in your name, in your category

The Salone del Mobile is above all a trade fair. The organiser distinguishes several visitor categories, each with its own days: trade professionals — architects, designers, distributors, specifiers — all week; suppliers and manufacturers, then students, at the end of the week; the general public at the weekend.

This guide reviews each of these routes, what it requires and what it allows. One point from the outset: TGZ Conciergerie is an independent house, with no affiliation with the Salone del Mobile.Milano, its organiser Federlegno Arredo Eventi or Fiera Milano, and with no official status. We resell no tickets: we arrange the purchase in your name, from the organiser, where possible, and we tell you when it is not possible.

The trade ticket: for those who work in the sector

Tuesday to Friday is reserved for professionals: architects, interior architects, designers, distributors, retailers, venue managers. This is when the halls are quieter, when publishers have time to receive visitors and when projects take shape.

Registration takes place on salonemilano.it, by choosing your category; if in doubt, the organiser invites you to write to clarify your activity. If you are leading a project — a house, a hotel, an office — with an architect or a decorator, it is often in that capacity that a weekday visit makes sense. We arrange the purchase of your tickets in your name, in the category that genuinely matches your profile.

03

The public weekend: the route open to all

On Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April 2027, the fair opens to the general public. Tickets are sold by the organiser, in advance on salonemilano.it, then on site at Rho during the event. They are named: each is issued to a single person, with their visit dates, which can be changed from their account.

This is the simple route, and it is enough for a very fine visit: the same halls, the same new pieces, with more people. We arrange the purchase of your tickets in your name where possible, then compose the day around them: arrival at opening time, drop-off as close to the entrance as possible, lunch away from the crowds, a return to the centre for the late afternoon at the Fuorisalone.

04

What cannot be bought

It must be said plainly: a Salone ticket cannot be resold. It is named and non-transferable; a ticket bought from a third party, in someone else's name, offers no assurance at the entrance. Any offer of "VIP access" to the fair sold by an intermediary should raise suspicion.

The same applies to the evenings: openings, cocktails and dinners given by exhibitors and design houses during the week are held by invitation, sent by their hosts. No serious concierge can sell one. We can pass on a request where possible, after reviewing the client's profile, without any guarantee — and we create your own evening if no invitation comes.

05

The Fuorisalone: free, by registration or by invitation

In the city, Design Week works differently. The majority of Fuorisalone exhibitions are free to enter: palazzo courtyards, showrooms, galleries, installations. Some talks or presentations require prior registration, a few workshops are ticketed, and private events remain by invitation.

It is often the queue, rather than access, that decides a day: the busier installations are better visited early in the morning or on a weekday. We compose your routes accordingly, handle registrations where possible and request private visits, subject to availability. Our guide What to Do During Milan Design Week? maps it out.

Preparing your days at the fair

A good day at Rho is prepared like an appointment. We help you choose what to see first — furniture, Euroluce in 2027, Salone Raritas for collectible design, SaloneSatellite for young designers —, identify in advance the publishers that interest you, and plan breaks: the halls are vast, and attention tires faster than legs.

Around the visit, we take care of everything that depends on us alone: a chauffeur who drops you off and collects you as close as possible, a lunch reserved somewhere calm, a return to town before the evening. If you are meeting publishers for a project, we fit your appointments into the day without taking part in your discussions.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

From the organiser: in advance on salonemilano.it, after registering and choosing your category, or on site at Rho during the fair. Be wary of resellers: tickets are named and non-transferable. TGZ resells no tickets; we arrange the purchase in your name where possible.

Yes, at the weekend: on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April 2027. Tuesday to Friday is reserved for professionals; suppliers, manufacturers and students are admitted from Friday to Sunday.

No. Each ticket is issued to a single person and is non-transferable. Every visitor must have their own, in their category.

Usually not: the majority of Design Week exhibitions are free to enter. Some talks require registration, a few workshops are ticketed, and private evenings are held by invitation.

We can pass on a request where possible, after reviewing the client's profile, without any guarantee: the decision belongs to the host. We tell you early what is realistic — and, if you wish, we create your own private dinner.

Advance sales online are the simplest route; tickets are still sold on site during the fair. It is above all Milan's rooms and chauffeurs for mid-April that go early: it is wiser to set everything in motion at once.
