Monaco has no airport: you arrive through Nice Côte d'Azur airport, on a scheduled or private flight. From there, the helicopter reaches the Monaco heliport, in Fontvieille, in about seven minutes, with regular rotations; a chauffeur-driven car follows the coast in about three quarters of an hour, depending on traffic; the train links Nice to Monaco-Monte-Carlo station in around twenty minutes. On the night of the gala, a dedicated chauffeur drops you at the Sporting Monte-Carlo, on avenue Princesse-Grace, and returns at the appointed hour. We arrange each journey on a tailored proposal.
Arriving in Nice: scheduled or private flight
The Principality has no airport; the gateway is Nice Côte d'Azur airport, to the west of Nice. From Paris, London, Geneva or the major cities of Europe, scheduled flights are plentiful in summer; a private flight lands at the business aviation terminal, where you pass through without waiting and the car or helicopter follows.
In July, demand is high: private aviation slots and helicopter seats are booked early. We set your arrival around your programme — ideally the day before the gala, so that no delay weighs on the evening.

The helicopter: seven minutes to Fontvieille
The helicopter is the direct way into Monaco. The flight between Nice airport and the Monaco heliport, in the Fontvieille district, takes about seven minutes, over the Baie des Anges and the coast; regular rotations complement privately chartered flights.
On arrival, a chauffeur waits at the foot of the heliport and takes you to your hotel in a few minutes. Luggage follows. The flight can be delayed by wind or visibility: we always plan a car as a fallback.
The car and the train
A chauffeur-driven car links the airport to Monaco in about three quarters of an hour, by the motorway or the coast road, depending on traffic, which is heavy in summer. It is the flexible option for a group, plenty of luggage or evening wear to be carried with care.
The train links Nice to the underground Monaco-Monte-Carlo station in around twenty minutes, with frequent departures: practical for a day trip, less so for an arrival with luggage. We suggest it when it makes sense.
| Option | Indicative time | For whom | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Helicopter | About 7 minutes' flight | Direct arrival, little luggage | Weather-dependent; car as a fallback |
| Chauffeur-driven car | About 45 minutes, depending on traffic | Group, luggage, evening wear | Heavy traffic in summer |
| Train (from Nice) | Around twenty minutes | Daytime journey, no luggage | Underground station in central Monaco |

On the night of the gala: to the door of the Sporting
The Sporting Monte-Carlo is on avenue Princesse-Grace, by the sea. In 2026, the doors of the Salle des Étoiles opened at 7.45 pm: arrivals unfold over a few dozen minutes, with several hundred guests. A dedicated chauffeur, who knows the entrance and the timing, spares you waiting for a car in evening dress.
Departures are more spread out: the night often carries on at Jimmy'z, within the Sporting itself. We plan a chauffeur on standby rather than a fixed time, and a second car for a group that does not leave at the same hour.
During the stay: getting around and heading out to sea
Monte-Carlo is explored on foot, with public lifts between the levels of the town. For the rest — a table along the coast, a beach in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, a villa on Cap-Ferrat — a chauffeur at your disposal handles the journeys without the search for parking.
At sea, a yacht leaves from the port for the day; a tender can shuttle between the port and an anchorage. We coordinate the timings with those of the gala, so that the day at sea ends in good time. Our guide to Summer in Monaco describes what the season offers around it.
