Monaco Yacht Show: How Does the Show Work?
Superyachts at the quay, exhibitors, visits by appointment and evenings around them: how four days at Port Hercule work.
Last updated 5 October 2026 · 4 min read
The Monaco Yacht Show is a superyacht show held every late September at Port Hercule, in Monaco. In 2027 it takes place from Wednesday 22 to Saturday 25 September. Around a hundred superyachts are moored there, averaging some fifty metres in length, surrounded by more than 560 exhibitors: shipyards, brokers, designers, naval architects, equipment suppliers. It is organised by Informa Markets. Entry is with a ticket sold by the organiser, online only; Wednesday is reserved for guests and certain options. On-board visits are by appointment only, set with the exhibitor. The show is aimed first and foremost at buyers, charterers, owners and yachting professionals.
What is the Monaco Yacht Show?
The show was born in 1991, on the initiative of a French entrepreneur. It was first conceived for brokerage: yachts of more than twenty metres were presented there, for sale or for charter. Its rights were sold in 1994 to a trade show organiser, bought in 2005 by the British group Informa, which has organised it ever since. Only the 2020 edition was cancelled.
Today, the Monaco Yacht Show brings together at Port Hercule every year around a hundred superyachts — some exceeding a hundred metres —, some sixty tenders and support vessels, and more than 560 exhibitors. It is held under the High Patronage of the Sovereign Prince. It is an in-water show: the essentials happen on the quays and on board, not in an exhibition hall.
You will come across shipyards presenting their latest vessels, brokers representing yachts for sale or for charter, designers, naval architects, equipment suppliers — and their clients: buyers, owners, charterers, captains.

How does a visit work?
On the quays, you move freely along the pontoons and between the exhibitors' stands. On board, it is different: visits to the yachts on display are by appointment only, set with the exhibitor — the shipyard or the broker representing the yacht — and at its discretion. The organiser recommends booking them in advance: exhibitors' diaries fill up quickly.
This is where the relationship with your broker comes into play. Your broker knows the fleet, selects the vessels that match your project and sets the appointments. TGZ Conciergerie is not a broker: we present no yacht and play no part in a sale or a charter. We organise everything around your appointments, so that you can devote yourself to them.

Who is it for?
The show is aimed first and foremost at buyers and charterers, accompanied by their broker; at owners following a project or comparing; at yachting professionals — shipyards, designers, equipment suppliers, captains and crews. Curious visitors are admitted from Thursday to Saturday, with a ticket.
Many come in a small party: a buyer and their adviser, a couple, a family preparing a first charter, sometimes the representatives of a family office. Each needs a ticket in their name, a room, a diary kept in order and a way of getting around without losing time.
Planning your visit: accommodation, journeys, budget
Accommodation first: in late September, the Monte-Carlo hotels close to the port are booked early, often with a minimum number of nights during the show. Our guide Where to Stay During the Monaco Yacht Show? compares the addresses.
Journeys next: you arrive via Nice Côte d'Azur airport, around twenty kilometres away; the helicopter reaches Monaco in about seven minutes, the road takes half an hour outside peak times, longer during the show. Our guide How to Get to the Monaco Yacht Show? details how it all works.
The budget, finally: it is quoted on request, element by element — hotel and length of stay, number of people, ticket option, helicopter or jet, chauffeur, dinners. And one rule across the board: what matters is booked early.

Key takeaways
The Monaco Yacht Show 2027 takes place from 22 to 25 September, at Port Hercule. Entry is with a ticket sold by the organiser, online only, and yachts are visited by appointment, with your broker or directly with the exhibitors. TGZ Conciergerie, an independent house based in Paris, with no affiliation with the show, Informa or its exhibitors, and no official status, organises your visit — ticket in your name, stay, journeys, dinners — without ever selling a ticket or a yacht. Every stay is quoted on request, with availability and conditions confirmed before any commitment.

Every stay is quoted on request, because it is composed: two nights in Monte-Carlo do not call for the same quote as a week in a villa with a helicopter and private dinners. What makes the budget vary: the length of stay, the accommodation, the ticket option, the journeys, the dinners, the number of people and how early you book.
