The Carlyle has welcomed guests since 1930 at 35 East 76th Street, a block from Central Park and Madison Avenue. Managed today by Rosewood, it keeps the scale of a house: just under two hundred rooms, a good share of them suites, and staff who know their regulars.
Three rooms shape its evenings. Bemelmans Bar, with murals by Ludwig Bemelmans, creator of Madeline; Café Carlyle, a cabaret hosting performers from the New York stage; and Dowling's, the dining room. The Michelin Guide awards the hotel two Keys, renewed in 2026.
