The Vienna Opera Ball takes place on Thursday 4 February 2027 at the Vienna State Opera, from 8.15 pm to 5 am. It is organised by the Vienna State Opera, whose Opera Ball Office alone sells the tickets, tables and boxes, to the exclusion of tour operators and resellers: TGZ sells none. The dress code requires the tailcoat and the floor-length ball gown. The opening is danced by a committee of debutants chosen by audition. What can be composed is the stay around it: a palace on the Ring, attire, waltz lessons, tables, chauffeur — on quote.
The night
The Wiener Opernball takes place every year on the Thursday before Ash Wednesday, in the Vienna State Opera transformed into a ballroom. The 69th edition will be held on Thursday 4 February 2027: entry at 8.15 pm, opening at 10 pm, "Alles Walzer" at around 10.45 pm, quadrilles at midnight, 2 am and 4 am, end at 5 am.
The tickets
Entry tickets by ballot, table places in the order requests arrive, boxes by direct sale: everything is sold by the Opera Ball Office, and by it alone. The attire
