Vienna Opera Ball 2027: Your Stay in Vienna, Around the Ball

What we arrange

  • 01A palace on the Ring
  • 02A fitted tailcoat, a ball gown and waltz lessons
  • 03A chauffeur until dawn

Independent house · not affiliated with the Vienna State Opera (Wiener Staatsoper) or its Opera Ball Office

The lit façade of an old building at night, wrought-iron balconies.

Vienna, 1877

The Court Opera had moved to the Ring eight years earlier, and the emperor wanted no dancing there. Yet on 11 December 1877 a first soirée is held, and the guests dance past midnight.

Three formats

What we compose around the ball.

Three starting points, never three packages. The final composition is built on your brief.

A grand hotel bedroom with gilded panelling, an antique armchair and a marble-topped chest of drawers.
01

A stay in Vienna

The address on the Ring and the logistics, for those who already have their programme.

Start from this format
The cabin of a private jet, pale leather seats and walls painted with landscapes.
03

The complete programme

The whole stay, orchestrated end to end, from the private flight to the return at dawn.

Start from this format

Each format is assembled to measure. None includes a ticket, table or box at the ball. Availability and terms for each service are confirmed before any commitment.

Four parts

What we actually arrange.

Four distinct undertakings, which can be taken separately or together. None of them consists of selling a ticket to the ball.

Each part is composed on request and subject to availability. Nothing is booked in advance, nothing is sold from a catalogue.

The night

The Thursday of the ball, step by step.

The night belongs to its guests, and we show nothing of it. Here is what surrounds it, composed by us — for those who have their tickets, as for those who spend that evening in Vienna another way.

A hotel lounge beneath glass chandeliers, a staircase in the background.
The afternoon
  1. The afternoon

    The last waltz step

A private lesson at the quiet hour, to find the left turn again without thinking. The rest of the day is yours alone.

  2. Late afternoon

    The attire

The tailcoat and the ball gown wait in the suite, fitted the day before. Hair and make-up are timed to the hour of departure.

  3. Around 8 pm

    The departure

A long coat over the shoulders, the car waits outside the hotel. A few minutes to the Opera, as the doors open, before the Federal President arrives.

  4. At dawn

    The return

After one quadrille, or the last. The chauffeur waits at the agreed spot, at the agreed hour; the room is ready, the curtains drawn.

  5. The day after

    The late lunch

A table booked for early afternoon, without haste. The flight home awaits, or one more night in Vienna; everything is already planned.

An indicative example: each stay is composed to measure, nothing is booked in advance, and no ticket to the ball is part of it.

Our way of working

All you will have to do is waltz.

  1. 01

    A single point of contact

The same person follows your request from the first exchange to the return at dawn.

  2. 02

    End-to-end coordination

Address, attire, waltz, tables and journeys are thought through together, not stacked.

  3. 03

    Candour from the start

We tell you early what is realistic — and that the ticket to the ball does not go through us.

  4. 04

    Trilingual service

French, English, Spanish — for you as for your guests.

  5. 05

    Confidentiality

Names, amounts and programmes stay between us.

  6. 06

    Private or corporate

The same care, whether the request is personal or made by a company.

Your enquiry

Tell us about the experience you have in mind. A dedicated concierge will return with confirmable options tailored to your priorities.

TGZ Conciergerie is an independent house with no official affiliation: we are linked neither to the Vienna State Opera (Wiener Staatsoper) nor to its Opera Ball Office. Entry tickets, table places, boxes and spectator tickets for the Opera Ball are sold exclusively by the organiser; we sell, buy and resell none, and promise no access and no place on the opening committee. We arrange the stay in Vienna around the night — hotel, attire, waltz lessons, tables, transfers — whose availability is confirmed to you before any commitment.

The detail

What to know before you ask.

Entry tickets, table places, boxes and spectator tickets are sold exclusively by the Opera Ball Office of the Vienna State Opera, which does not accept orders from tour operators or resellers. We sell none and explain the allocation calendar to you. What we arrange is real and verifiable: the palace, the attire, the waltz, the tables, the chauffeur.

The opening is danced by some one hundred and sixty debutant couples, chosen by the Opera on a couple's application and audition: aged 18 to 27 on the day of the ball, with a very good left-turning waltz. For 2027, applications are closed. We can neither support nor promise an application; we gladly arrange the stay of selected couples and their families.

The ball takes place on Thursday 4 February 2027: doors at 8.15 pm, opening at 10 pm, end at 5 am. We advise arriving the day before, for final fittings and a margin in case of snow, and keeping the following night to rest.

The dress code published by the Opera is strict: black tailcoat, white dress shirt, white bow tie and black patent shoes for men, or a gala uniform; a floor-length ball gown, in any colour, for women. No dirndl or traditional costume. A dinner jacket is not enough.
