New York, 1948
Two years earlier, a small museum of costume had joined The Metropolitan Museum of Art. To sustain it, the publicist Eleanor Lambert conceived a benefit evening: a midnight supper, in support of the new Costume Institute.
Three formats
Three starting points, never three packages. The final composition is built on your brief.
Each format is assembled to measure. None includes access to the gala. Availability and terms for each service are confirmed before any commitment.
Four parts
Four distinct undertakings, which can be taken separately or together. None of them consists of entering the gala.
Each part is composed on request and subject to availability. Nothing is booked in advance, nothing is sold from a catalogue.
The evening
The gala takes place at the museum, among its guests. Here is what your own evening looks like, composed by us, a few blocks away.

The evening's look waits in the suite, altered if needed. Hair and make-up are timed to the hour of departure; the stylist stays until the door.
That night, Fifth Avenue is closed around the museum. The car waits outside the hotel; the route skirts the neighbourhood without your having to think about it.
A table held for you, set apart, in soft half-light. In early May, the whole city wants to dine on the same night; yours was reserved long ago.
A private evening created for you, or a last drink in a hotel bar. We promise you only what is confirmed.
The chauffeur brings you back along the water, Manhattan alight on the other side. In a few days, the exhibition will open to the public; your visit is already planned.
An indicative example: each evening is composed to measure, nothing is booked in advance, and no access to the gala is part of it.

Our way of working
The same person follows your request from the first exchange to the last evening.
Address, looks, tables and evenings are considered together, not stacked.
We tell you early what is realistic — and that the gala itself cannot be booked.
French, English, Spanish — for you as for your guests.
Names, figures and programmes stay between us.
The same care, whether the request is personal or made by a company.
Tell us about the experience you have in mind. A dedicated concierge will return with confirmable options tailored to your priorities.
TGZ Conciergerie is an independent house, with no official affiliation: we are not linked to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, its Costume Institute, Vogue or Condé Nast, or any fashion house. The Met Gala (Costume Institute Benefit) is an evening by invitation, whose list is set by its organisers; no place is sold for it, and we neither sell any nor promise access. We arrange the week in New York around the evening — hotel, tables, private evenings, styling, a visit to the exhibition once it is open to the public — with availability confirmed to you before any commitment.
The detail
The Met Gala is a benefit evening by invitation: the list is set by the museum and the editors of Vogue, the houses that take a table invite their own guests, and no place is sold to the public. We sell no access and promise no invitation. What we arrange is real and verifiable: the hotel, the looks, the tables, the private evenings, the exhibition visit.
Each spring, the evening opens an exhibition that is accessible to the public a few days later, with a museum admission ticket: on 10 May in 2025 as in 2026. For 2027, the theme and dates have not yet been announced by the museum. We set your visit as soon as they are.
The evening takes place on the first Monday in May. The museum has not yet confirmed the 2027 date; we follow it and build the week in two stages: first what does not depend on it — the hotel, the flight, the stylist — then the evenings themselves, once it is published. Staying a few days after the gala lets you see the exhibition from its opening.
The streets around the museum, on Fifth Avenue, are closed and very busy on the night of the evening. We take this into account in the timing of your dinners, the choice of routes and the location of the hotel: you can sleep a few blocks from the museum and spend a calm evening, provided it has been planned.
Frequently asked
No. The Met Gala is a benefit evening strictly by invitation: the list is set by the museum and the editors of Vogue, and the houses that take a table invite their own guests, subject to approval. No place is sold to the public. TGZ provides no access; we arrange the New York week around the evening. Our guide How the Met Gala Invitation Works details how it really works.
The gala takes place every year on the first Monday in May. For 2027, The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced in late August 2026 that the theme and the evening would be announced at a later date: as of 5 October 2026, no date has been published. The evening will take place in May 2027; we first build what does not depend on it — hotel, flight, stylist — then the evenings themselves once it is confirmed.
Yes. The Costume Institute's spring exhibition opens to the public a few days after the evening, with a museum admission ticket: on 10 May in 2025 as in 2026. It is the most direct way to see what the evening celebrates. We arrange the visit at the quietest hours; our guide Visiting the Costume Institute Exhibition details how it unfolds.
As close to the museum as possible, if your plans centre on it: the Upper East Side, with The Carlyle a few blocks away; Fifth Avenue around Central Park South, with Aman New York and The Plaza, named by way of illustration. A private apartment with staff suits those who wish to receive. On gala night, the streets around the museum are closed to traffic: we plan for it. Our guide Where to Stay for the Met Gala compares each option.
It is composed item by item, and each varies with your choices: the address and category of the suite, the length of stay, the flight, the days of chauffeur and stylist, the format of the dinners and the private evening, the size of the group and the timing of the booking. We prepare a tailored quote, with no access to the gala, terms confirmed before any commitment.
No. TGZ Conciergerie is an independent house, with no affiliation to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, its Costume Institute, Vogue or Condé Nast, or any fashion house, and with no official status. That is precisely why we never promise the evening: we arrange everything around it, which depends on us alone.

The evening belongs to the museum. The week around it, we compose for you.
Tell us your intended dates in May 2027, what you have in mind — hotel, tables, private evening, styling, the exhibition visit — and the number of guests: we build a tailored proposal, discreet and complete, with no access to the gala, subject to availability.
